Gackt has released a new single. Ghost.

At first, when I listened to the song for the very first time, I was kind of disappointed. I thought, oh, no, it’s just bad electronic pop. Where are the violins? Where is his lovely piano? Where’s the musicality? Where’s the rock music?

But since it is Gackt, I gave him a second chance. And a third, and a forth, and so on… Now I’ve gotten fond of the song. (I kind of like it. I like some parts of the song more than others.) That’s strange. But, as it is, it’s still Gackt. And Gackt is great… at least most of the time. It’s not his best song, but I guess it’s not his worst either. Besides, it has a funny PV… and I like robots.

Although I must say, he was better before… Gackt is that kind of artist that grows onto you, but the songs Ghost and Blue Lagoon hasn’t grown into me yet. Especially not Blue Lagoon. I hope he’ll change genre once again, and make more rock and rock ballads again. Well, well, time will tell…
