Gackt-sama is just about to release a new single! The title is “Jesus”. The PV is already out, and of course it’s available on YouTube as well. The actual single is coming November 23rd /26th (?).The release is for Dears members only. The official release (for all others not being Dears members) is December 3rd.

It’s a long time in between his single and album releases and so, every fan out there is very happy he has made something new yet again! The song is awesome! It’s a catchy rock song with a refrain that’s very easy to hum to. And as always, Gackt’s dark voice is great to listen to! I’m back to being an energetic, jumping fangirl!

I must say though, English is not one of Gackt’s strong sides (Don’t even get me started on his song “To Feel the Fire”). He’s pretty good in English nowadays though, and it’s a huge difference between his spoken and his singing English – he’s much better speaking English than singing (at least after the short clips with spoken English that I’ve watched, but it might be a draw; I really do not know).

In “Jesus”, I thought he sang “We love you”, but it sounded a lot like “We love Jew”. What he actually is singing in the single is “Real or Dream?”. I do hear it now when I am aware of what he’s singing, but I must say it sounds a bit unclear.

Overall, I really like how the Japanese artists and bands mix English and Japanese in their songs, but it makes it a bit hard to understand the English parts, sometimes to the point where you don’t know if they’re singing in Japanese or English at the moment.

Since the single “Jesus” is on YouTube, I’m posting it here for you to hear and watch as well; First “Jesus” without subtitles, and second “Jesus” with subtitles in English (made by some fan). Watch them both and you’ll know exactly what I mean.
